Our mission

Strengthening food security in Ukraine and developing a culture of food consumption in society.

Our global mission is to strengthen Ukraine's food security and develop a culture of food consumption in modern society.

We are committed to Sustainable Development Goals, so our goal is to fight hunger and reduce food waste and CO2 pollution by redistributing surplus food production to people in need.

In peaceful life, the work of food banks is focused on the economic and environmental impacts. However, in times of full-scale war, the social element of food banking cannot be overestimated.

Now more than ever, it is essential to properly allocate available resources and create a regulatory framework for professional charitable activities in Ukraine. The humanitarian crisis in Ukraine is constantly growing and will continue for a long time even after the victory.

Our activities are guided by 3 key principles of help:

1 – For those WHO need it most

2 – WHERE it is needed most

3 – WHEN it is needed most

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) report, the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance and social protection in Ukraine increased in 2022:

- from 2.9 million people as of January 2022 (approximately 6.6% of the population of Ukraine)

- to 17.6 million people as of early 2023 (approximately 40.1% of the population of Ukraine)

This means that almost every second Ukrainian needs humanitarian assistance.
