Food redistribution
The majority of the products in our food kit are made in Ukraine. Thus, by supporting the affected civilian population with food, we are also supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
The Ukrainian Food Banks Federation is constantly looking for food and hygiene products that have good consumer qualities but cannot be sold or used for one reason or another.
For example, this may be due to a short shelf life or a damaged label. According to Ukrainian laws and trade rules, such products will most likely be recycled or simply thrown away. However, it is much more effective to donate them as aid to people in need. We guarantee that such goods will be consumed on time.
We combine the products we receive into balanced food kits. We are guided by the requirements of the State Standards of Ukraine regarding nutritional standards and portioning of food for the population. Our kits are designed to provide sufficient food for a family of 3 for 2 weeks.
As a full-scale war continues in Ukraine, we have started purchasing certain categories of goods to make our food kits as useful as possible. In addition to the obvious component of helping the population, such an operation has an additional benefit - supporting business and the Ukrainian economy in general.
We are proud that some of the products in our sets were produced in the liberated territories. This brings jobs and life back to these areas.
