The war took away childhood from young Ukrainians, destroyed their dreams and forced them to grow up. That is why it is so important to give children moments of joy in order to fill their world with bright colors again.

For this purpose, the Ukrainian Federation of Food Banks launched a special project "Give a child a miracle" before the New Year holidays and prepared sweet gifts for young Ukrainians. 10,250 sweet gift sets were given to children of vulnerable population groups: children from large, low-income families, IDPs and orphans, children with disabilities, as well as children from families located on the front lines and de-occupied territories.

In addition, the UFBF held a competition of children's drawings "My New Year's Dream" among the beneficiaries of our NGO partners aged from 3 to 14 years.

Each participant of the competition received sweet gifts from the federation. In addition, each organization selected three winners of three age categories who received the main prize - tablets.

The winners were:

Bohdan Lisohor, 11 years old
Valery Zmienko, 9 years old
Boyko Kristina, 6 years old

Representatives of the Ukrainian Federation of Food Banks personally visited the children, congratulated them on their victory and handed them tablets. By coincidence, one of the winners, Bohdan, had a birthday, so the visit of the UFBF became a double holiday.

For our team, seeing sincere emotions of happiness and smiles of people whom we were able to help at least a little is an incentive to work even harder.

We are happy that this year we managed to make the lives of Ukrainian children a little sweeter.

We are grateful to our partners who organized real holidays during the distribution of gifts. Grateful for the smiles on the faces of little Ukrainians.
