On 17 May, a press conference was held by the UFBF on the topic: ‘Food Donor Day: Results and Prospects’.

In 2023, the Ukrainian  Food Banks Federation initiated the celebration of the Food Donor Day in Ukraine every year on the third Saturday of May.​

‍

This year, at the press centre of the Ukrinform news agency, the UFBF held a press conference entitled ‘Food Donor Day: Results and Prospects’.

‍

The main goal of the event was to summarise the results of cooperation between the UFBF and international and Ukrainian donors.

‍

The meeting included over 40 participants, including: re-established representatives of the European  Food Banks Federation, international and Ukrainian donors of the UFBF, as well as representatives of our partner organizations from 23 regions of Ukraine.

‍

• In particular, at the event:
• Dmytro Shkrabatovskyi, the Head of the board of the UFBF, gave a report on the achievements of the UFBF during his work;
• Anna Tron, executive director for development of the UFBF, noted the importance of implementing Food Donor Day in Ukraine;
• Our Auchan donors shared why social responsibility of business in the field of food banking is important and talked about their experience of cooperation with UFBF;
• Partner NGOs reported on the situations in their regions, noting the contribution of the UFBF to the humanitarian support of the affected Ukrainians.
