Participated in the FEBA Congress in Dublin

The UFBF team spent a working week at one of the key events for European food banking — the annual FEBA Convention, which this year took place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
This meeting brought together representatives of 30 national food banks from across Europe — people who work every day to ensure that food does not become waste, but instead supports those who need it. Unfortunately, there are still many such people even in countries that are not affected by war.
The event was also attended by Lisa Moon, President and CEO of the Global FoodBanking Network, and Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services. The conference became a platform for exchanging experience, ideas, and innovations. We discussed the challenges Ukrainians face and how to combine traditional approaches with modern technologies to create sustainable and effective solutions.
In our presentation, it was important for us to share our case studies with European colleagues — to talk about both new initiatives (Bread of Hope) and well-known projects (FoodTruck), as well as to highlight how we operate under the conditions of a full-scale war, destruction, and a humanitarian crisis.
In turn, we gained new contacts, valuable knowledge, and confidence that our mission is important and our community is strong. We sincerely thank FEBA for the invitation and comprehensive support of UFBF, and extend special thanks to our Irish colleagues for a wonderful event and warm hospitality!
